Carlotta Fontana

   Associated professor of Architecture technology - Polytechnic of Milan, since November 1998.
Graduation in Architecture in 1977; Doctoral level  in Architecture technology in 1989.
1977 to 1994 she has been working as didactics co-operator (Department of Planning, programming, and Project, Building Production and Department of Industrial Drawing and Architecture technology of the Polytechnic of Milan.
In 1995 she wins competition for Researcher in Architecture.
Since 1975 she deals with building recovery issues (project methods, pre-project infromation, project rules), thus taking part to many national and international conferences.
Freelance activity from 1980 to 1994 (project and DL of recovery and restoration works), a topic on which she published numerous papers and books.
Since 1995 technical head of the Quality Assessment of Building at the DI.Tec Of the Polytechnic of Milan.
1982 to 1994  editor of the journal Recuperare. Since 1996 she is the chief editor of the journal Ambiente Costruito/Built Environment.
She is member of the UNI Commission – Building “Qualification and control of the building project and of the building reuse  intervention ”.
She is member of the teaching body of the Master Internacional para la Conservaciòn del Patrimonio (Tenerife), and university of Las Palmas (Canarias).
