Ezio Arlati

   professor in Architectural Technology, teacher in ‘Principi di Progettazione and ‘Progettazione Tecnologica Assistita’,  Faculty of Architecture His research activity concerns the conception and development of elaboration environment and tools aimed at representing and supporting architectural design process, in the main domains:
·    the development of architectural design for  building envelope components, in a technology- and environment-conscious approach;
he is the author of two experimental design support systems developed in METID:
-  “Sysinfo”, technical informations about building products, compared with regulations, interactively supplied to the operating designer;
- “Patriarch”, an hypermedia design process representation and navigation tool aimed at motivated description of design development.
·    the development of an architectural design support system oriented to rehabilitation and restoration applied to cultural heritage buildings:
·    he  leads the Sottogruppo  II/3: Il sistema informativo in  the research “ Regione Lombardia – CESTEC “Ricerca / Formazione per l’innovazione delle professioni tecniche nel campo della conservazione preventiva e della manutenzione programmata del patrimonio storico architettonico”
He is member of the ‘Commissione Beni Culturali’ (Cultural Heritage) of Politecnico.
He is Steering Committee member of the European Research  “Web based Intelligent Design tutoring System”, the V° Framework Program 2000 / 2002, Information Society Technology, Flexible.
