Curriculum Vitae


Giulio Solaini

   Giulio Solaini was born in Milano in 1945. He got his master in Physics in 1968.
He has been teaching at the Faculty of Architecture of Politecnico di Milano since 1972. He is presently professor of Building Physics in the same Faculty.
His research activity concerns heat storage systems, natural cooling systems, the rational use of energy, the energy saving in buildings, the energy performances of buildings components and systems. He also studied several systems devoted to the use of solar energy in buildings and was responsible of research groups, both at national and international level, in the field of buildings energy rehabilitation. At the same time he developed his research activity in the field of heat transfer.
He contributed to found, on behalf of Politecnico di Milano, the international consortium ENERGAMED, aimed to the study and the development of energy saving technologies and buildings environment control.
Finally, he was invited as visiting professor, by several European universities.
