Curriculum Vitae

Lidia Diappi

   Associate Professor at the Politecnico di Milano since the academical year1983/84. She has carried out several courses. Between them:
Analysis of Urban and Territorial Systems, Mathematical Models for Town Planning, Urban Economy and Strategical Planning (at the Università Bocconi, Milan), Advanced Methodologies in Town Planning (as Contract Professor at the Institut Français d’Urbanisme, Paris VIII). She is responsible of the Italian research group for the Program COST 332 “Innovative Methods of Coordination between Transport Actions and Regional and Local Planning”.
Coordinator of the research unit at the Faculty of Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano for the national CNR research “QUATER Project” (1996-98). Coordinator of the programs Erasmus-Socrates at the Politecnico di Milano.
Coordinator of the research “Construction of an Environmental Sustainability Map for Milan: Conditions of Opportunity and Risk”, funded by the Commerce Chamber of Milan and carried out in the Department of Science of Territory at the Politecnico. She is part of the research group “Self-organization, cognitive mapping, urban and regional systems and spatial information” coordinated by Denise Pumain of the team PARIS (Université Paris 1 –CNRS). Member of the Council of CIRITA (Interdepartmental Centre for the Territorial and Environmental Research) at the Politecnico di Milano.
